It was told that there was a king who wanted sometimes to talk with his subjects concealing himself… Once he concealed himself as a poor man… he dressed in very ragged clothes and went to the poorest quarters in the city and rambled in its narrow alleys, he chose one of the old tin-plate made rooms, and knocked the door.. Inside he found a man sitting on the floor on the dust.. He was a road-sweeper. The concealed king sat beside him and they began to talk together and the king kept visiting him continually after that and the poor man was attached to the king and loved him, he spoke to him from his heart and revealed to him all his secrets…They became friends.

After a period of time the king decided to tell his friend the truth so he said to him:" you think I am poor... It is not true, I am the king".. The tremendous surprise confused the poor man, but he remained silence.. So the king said to him: "Hadn’t you understood what I wanted to tell you… now you can be rich I can give you a city, I can give an order to appoint you in the greatest position… I am the king, tell me whatever you want my friend."

So the poor man answered him: "I understood my Lord but what is that what had you done with me? You had left your palace and your grace and came to sit here with me in this darksome place and shared me my sorrow and sadness... "

You offered precious gifts to many people but me... You offered me yourself.. My Lord, my only prayer is to never to prevent me this gift… and to be my friend who loves me and I love him. "

My Reader considerate with me

What the king had done with the poor man is just a very faded picture for what the king of the kings had done with you… for you… he" emptied himself, taking the form of a servant."(Philippians (2:7)).

He took a body and lived on our earth with it, passed all kinds of pain that you may pass to understand your suffering so that he could help you" for because he himself has suffered and been tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted."(Hebrews (2:18)).

Then he died instead of you… shed his precious blood in order to purge you with it from your sins… so after all this don’t you tell him from your heart with Asaph the chanter.

"There is none upon earth that I desire beside thee."(Psalms (73:25)).
