LEAVE HIM TILL TOMORROW

The place: The Great Martyr Saint Mina monastery in Marriott.

The time: nearly about 1966.

The Holy Pope was there in the monastery when one of the workers fall of the top of the tractor and the tractor passed over his legs, it was very painful and the worker remained suffering pain, so one of the monks carried him to the nearest hospital, but once the doctor saw the worker and knew that he fell of the top of the tractor and the tractor passed over his legs, he was so nervous and became very angry specially when he knew that the accident happened inside the monastery and the situation became more difficult when the doctor saw the monk who brought the patient, that he insulted him sharply accusing the monks of being negligent and treating people carelessly and that they are responsible of what had happened.

So the monk had nothing to do but to return back with the worker again to the monastery and Pope Kirillos who was informed of what had happened said: "keep him in the workers’ room till tomorrow and St. Mina will do something; the man will be alright tomorrow." And he gave him holy oil for recovering patients to smear his leg… the man slept, and in the early morning when Pope Kirillos was out for the Mass, he found one of the workers cleaning the place… Pope Kirillos asked him…:" who are you?" the man said:" I am the one who fall of the tractor and the tractor passed over my leg, but thank God, it is your holiness and St. Mina’s prayers blessing."
