Archillos St

St. Jerome in his book "Famous Men."Wrote to us about Archillos who was the bishop of Kashkar in the between two rivers country ( now Iraq). The story of this book was that a Syrian man practiced the true Christian life by emancipation of all the Christians salves as he felt that slavery as incompatible with the Christian faith life, and perhaps this behavior was common among many of the gentlemen who accept the Christian faith, as it did not afford humiliating a brother in humanity, after contacting with God's Love which rose them high to belong to God as HIS adopted children. So they emancipated their slaves. Many had wanted to keep on working for them . They accepted them as workers with a spirit of brotherhood of mankind. This did not happen by orders and laws of the church, but it was through the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of true believers.
