The magistrate Linicius heard about him. He summoned him and ordered his joining to the military. He continued to practice the Acetic life while being in the army. When the virtuous King Constantine reigned, who had a beloved sick boy, heard about the Saint from some of the leaders. He marveled how Agabitus can perform signs, and practice monastic life while living among the soldiers . He summoned him. Agabitus prayed and entreated the LORD. GOD healed the boy. As the emperor wanted to reward him, he asked for being released from the army in order to exercise the monastic life in freedom.
