Agabus,one of the seventy Apostles

He was one of the seventy chosen Apostles that the LORD sent to preach in front of HIM. He was present with the twelve disciples at the Betheda in Zion him and was filled with talents from the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, and the was granted the grace of prophecy as the chapter of Acts tells us, saying: "And as we stayed many days, a certain prophet named Agabus came d own from Judea. When he had come to us, he took Paul’s belt , bound his own hands and feet , and said “ Thus says the Holy the Holy Spirit: So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles” (Acts: 21: 10-11). This prophecy had been fulfilled (Acts: 21: 17-36), and he also predicted of a great hunger all over the world. This had occurred during the days of the reign of Caesar Klaudios (Acts: 11: 27-28). Then he preached the Bible with the Saints and the Apostles and traveled to many countries to guide many of the Jews and Greeks to know Jesus Christ. He purified them by the sacrament of baptism. The Jews sent him to jail and beat him a lot. Then they placed a rope around his neck and dragged him outside the city where they stoned him. He delivered his pure soul. On the spot a light sparkled from the sky to be seen as a pillar that linked his body to the sky. A Jewish woman saw that and shouted by the top of her voice : "Indeed, this man was godly. I believe in the God of that Christian Saint". The Jews stoned her as well. Reference: Coptic Synexarium, Amsher , the 4th. May the Blessings of their prayers Be with all of us AMEN.
